What does it take to become an IPA Platinum winner?

May 1, 2019

They say things happen in threes, but we are living proof that good things happen in fours! After achieving IPA CPD Gold for the last three years in a row, we are now proud to have IPA CPD Platinum Accreditation.

Our clients want the most talented, creative and reliable people working on their business. That’s why we invest heavily in professional and personal development so we can offer this with confidence. Both our Founding Directors lead by example by committing to their own learning on a regular basis, as well as enabling that of the team. One of our team recently stated that the top three things which are important to her in her job role are ‘progression, being valued/feeling fulfilled and salary (in that order)’. That is why she is on a long-term Professional Development Plan, which has already seen her promoted to a Senior role.

In 2018 our team completed 905 hours of continued professional development. Given that we only needed to accrue 333 hours to meet IPA standard requirements, you can see how much CPD is encouraged and valued. There is even a little healthy competition amongst the team as to who has put the most hours in…!

Unlike other agencies who insist that every hour worked is billable, we actively encourage our team to incorporate additional learning into their working day. We don’t want people to become stagnant in their role; so feel that being stretched and challenged through personal growth is important. We are proud of the proactive learning culture we have nurtured and which our clients can benefit from.

To increase job satisfaction and productivity we even undertook ‘Love, Like, Dislike’ workshops with each team to create new job roles (rather than traditional job descriptions) that work towards people’s strengths, skills and things they enjoy doing.

Our award-winning culture sets us aside from other agencies; from Working Mums SME awards two years in a row, being a Top 20 Company in Campaign Magazine, to achieving IPA Gold three years in a row and now achieving Platinum accreditation. One of our Co-founding Directors, Caroline, was also awarded the IPA and Campaign Magazine ‘Woman of Tomorrow 2018’ award. Part of this award-winning ethos encompasses the desire to develop people and build the company from the bottom up, nurturing talent along the way.

So, what does it take to become a Platinum award winner? Hard work and dedication, yes. But more importantly, a commitment to truly investing in the belief that developing our team will not only develop and grow the business but motivate and retain the best people. Ultimately, providing a first-class service to our clients and most importantly, patients.
