After writing our clinical trials e-book last year, we reached out to a number of clinical trial organisations and their governing bodies for comments and general feedback. We were delighted when Susan Dilks, Director of Operations, at the CCRA (Clinical & Contract Research Association) got in contact to tell us her organisation was very interested in the book.
The CCRA is a not-for-profit organisation which represents clinical research contractors and allied industries but also supports people who choose to take part in a clinical trial. They help to ensure that patients and volunteers receive support and the very best information throughout every stage of the clinical trial.
The book was reviewed internally by Susan’s colleagues at the CCRA, followed by the NIHR (National Institute for Health Research) and the HRA (Health Research Authority), and finally the ABPI (Association of the British Pharmaceutical Industry).
Following an all clear from the ABPI, we were very excited to hear that the CCRA would agree to endorse our book, commentating that it was “Straightforward and comprehensive…a useful resource for trial organisers and participants alike.”
